First Time Out Ferreting For The Pup And I!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

After waiting years to finish my studies and get myself a pup and set up with some ferrets and such I finally got out for the first time on Sunday :toast: was chuffed to bit with how everything went so I thought I would share a few photos (there not great but hey ho).

Got up Sunday morning and drove an hour to an old friends farm to meet up and put all our theory into practice and try to avoid disaster  We managed to escape this storm St Jude which was a good start, couldn't of asked for better weather. We got to our bit of land we was going to ferret pulled up, let the pup jump out and he caught a mixi rabbit so I didn't complain at that! Anyway I won't rant on, we had a cracking days ferreting, took the 3 legged hob out, the pup behaved better than I could of hoped for, the girlfriend got stuck in and we caught 21 rabbits at then end of the morning which we was chuffed with because when George and I normally do something it goes way wrong and we end up in the :censored: haha. Well and truly hooked on ferreting. Heres a few pictures to look at anyway, thanks for reading . I also want to say thanks to stealthy1 for recommending Leeview to get my first nets. They did there job damn well so thanks for sorting me out with them Leeview, top stuff.

Well done mate, I got hob here with the same 3 legs and a bobbed tail, I'm sure it was his mum that done it whilst giving birth and eating after birth, he certainly works as o I can't fault him..

Yeah I think thats what happened to him, he worked slowly which made us crack up, I kept imagining this 3 legged creature hobbling around underground

Your Dug looks very like a 3/4 whippet 14/ Beddy, what's its make up?

Hi mate,

I'm not very good with the whole fractions thing so here's his breeding:

Dam was bedlington greyhound deerhound greyhound x greyhound

And the sire was a whippet x greyhound

He's just under 5 and a half months old, 22" at the moment.
